The Pindrop team is on their way to the west coast today for Black Hat 2015 and DEF CON 23. These are far from your typical security conferences. The focus is on the science of hacking – how it works, and how to make it harder to do.
Pindrop will be supporting the conferences in several ways – sponsoring two innovative contests, and co-hosting our 4th annual ALLinPARTY. Of course, we’ll also be meeting researchers, analysts, press, and others at the events. If you’d like to connect, drop us an email and we’ll set up a meeting.

Robocalls: Humanity Strikes Back

StrikeBack-SquareLogo-ChallengeGov6 Pindrop is excited to be partnering with the Federal Trade Commission for the “Robocalls: Humanity Strikes Back” challenge. Participants were asked to build a crowd-source honeypot that would enable people with landlines or mobile phones to identify robocalls. Pindrop’s PhoneypotTM and newly developed robocall detection algorithms will be used to demonstrate, test and score the finalist’s solutions.
Date: Friday and Saturday, August 7-8, 2015
Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: FTC Booth in the Contest Area on the Bally’s side of the conference.

Social Engineering Capture the Flag

Times: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: The Social Engineer Village, Bally’s Palace Room 3-4-5
